Anyone interested in making Project Linus blankets as a service project needs to contact Lois Misko, the Greater Pittsburgh Area Chapter Coordinator before they begin making blankets. The details of the project should be approved and the final product must be reviewed. There is no guarantee of credit if the completed blankets are unusable. In our experience, the quality of the finished blankets vary greatly and reflect a wide range of time and effort invested in making the blankets. We know fabric can be expensive but here is an opportunity to receive a grant to help with your project. The Karma for Cara Foundation (K4C) offers micro grants to support youth voluntarism. They encourage kids age 18 and under to apply for funds between $250 and $1,000 to help complete a service project in their community. For more information or to apply for a grant go to the K4C Foundation website by clicking HERE.
